Pumpkins, Patrol Cars & a Little Halloween Hocus-Pocus!

Well, friends, Halloween weekend has arrived!

That magical time of year when the pumpkins are out, the costumes are ready, and here in Florida, we’re still trying to decide whether we’re dressing for fall or preparing for heatstroke.

😂

But goodness, there’s plenty of fun happening around the Treasure Coast!

We’re talking farmers markets, fall festivals, decorated trunks, classic cars, live music, and enough candy to keep the little goblins bouncing until Thanksgiving.

And you know I love sharing the free things first, because making memories shouldn’t require taking out a second mortgage.

So grab your calendar, gather your people, and let’s see where the Compass is pointing!

🎃 Friday, October 30

Fall Fun Fest — Port St. Lucie

5–10 PM | Free admission

📍 MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 SE Event Center Place

Three days of fall fun kick off with carnival rides, vendors, food, music, and family activities.

Friday includes the Street of Treats, scheduled for 6–8 PM, and tribute-band entertainment.

Admission is free; rides and food are additional.

🌻 Saturday, October 31

Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers Market

8 AM–Noon | Free to browse

📍 101 Melody Lane, Fort Pierce

Fresh produce, local makers, plants, baked goods, and waterfront wandering.

You know my rule: If you find something wonderful made by local hands, show those hands a little love!

Hobe Sound Farmers Market & Pumpkin Patch

Farmers Market: 9 AM–2 PM | Free market entry

📍 1425 SE Bridge Road, Hobe Sound

Local vendors, farm goodies, pumpkins, and seasonal activities.

Some farm attractions may require an additional fee.

And yes, October 31 is still a perfectly acceptable day to buy another pumpkin.

Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. 😂

A Walk Through the Past — Spruce Bluff Preserve

9–11 AM | Registration details to be confirmed

📍 611 Dar Lane, Port St. Lucie

Take a guided walk through local history and nature, exploring the preserve’s Indigenous mound and pioneer cemetery.

A little fresh air, a little history, and maybe a few good stories along the way.

🚔 Martin County Sheriff’s Office — Trunk or Treat!

Halloween evening | Time and admission to be confirmed

📍 Martin County Sheriff’s Office, 800 SE Monterey Road, Stuart

Here’s one especially close to home! And my Compass pick for the weekend! 🧡

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office Trunk or Treat is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy Halloween festivities and spend time with the people who serve our community.

Think costumes, creatively decorated trunks, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles.

And I have to say, there’s something particularly entertaining about seeing the folks who normally handle very serious business get involved in a little Halloween foolishness.

I’m here for it! 😂🚔🎃

Please check the Sheriff’s Office’s official announcement for the confirmed 2026 event time and participation details before attending.

Trick or Treat on 2nd Street — Fort Pierce

5–7 PM | Downtown Fort Pierce

Downtown businesses welcome costumed visitors for an evening of trick-or-treating.

A fun opportunity to enjoy the historic downtown while the little ones collect their Halloween treasures.

Cars & Stars: Haunted Horsepower — Port St. Lucie

6–10 PM | Event details to be confirmed

📍 Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive

Cars, costumes, decorated rides, and Halloween-inspired automotive fun!

Because apparently the only thing better than a classic car is a classic car dressed for Halloween.

😂

Check the organizer for current spectator and vehicle-entry information.

☀️ Sunday, November 1

Market on Main — Downtown Stuart

9 AM–2 PM | Free to browse

📍 Flagler Park, 221 SW Flagler Avenue

Local farmers, artists, makers, and a lovely excuse to wander around downtown Stuart.

A little coffee, a little shopping, and a whole lot of local goodness.

Rock’n Riverwalk — Downtown Stuart

1–4 PM | Free

📍 Riverwalk Stage, 121 SW Flagler Avenue

Live music along the waterfront.

Bring a chair, find a shady spot, and enjoy a little Sunday afternoon relaxation.

Fall Fun Fest — Final Day

1–6 PM | Free admission

📍 MIDFLORIDA Event Center, Port St. Lucie

One last opportunity to enjoy the festival before the weekend wraps up.

Carnival rides and food are additional.

🎟️ A Few Fun Extras That Cost a Little Something

Once Upon a Nightmare — Sunrise Theatre

October 30–31 | Ticketed

📍 117 S 2nd Street, Fort Pierce

A haunted-house experience for those who enjoy a little fright with their Halloween festivities.

Personally, I’m not entirely convinced I need to pay somebody to scare me.

Life handles that pretty efficiently some days. 😂

The Rocky Horror Picture Show — Sunrise Theatre

Saturday, October 31 | 9 PM | Ticketed

A Halloween-night screening of the cult classic, with entertainment before the show.

Check the theatre for ticket prices and event guidelines.

🧭 A Little Compass Reminder

You don’t have to attend every event.

You don’t have to have the perfect costume.

And you certainly don’t need a perfectly coordinated family photograph to prove you had a wonderful weekend.

Sometimes the best memories are made while wandering a farmers market, laughing at somebody’s costume, admiring an old car, or watching a little one proudly show off a bucket of candy.

Get out there.

Support your community.

Make some memories.

And remember to set those clocks back Saturday night!

Notice More. Love Well. Gather Often. 🧡
