Sabbath Stillness - A Grateful Little Exhale

🧡 Sabbath Stillness | A Grateful Little Exhale
Well…we launched. 🥹
The Twisted Compass is out in the world, and I’m sitting here with a heart full of gratitude, a little leftover nervous energy, and shoulders that are finally coming down from somewhere around my ears.
There’s relief in finally opening the door to something you’ve poured so much of yourself into. Excitement, too. And that little feeling of, “Okay, Lord…here we go.”
Apparently, you can be tired and already thinking about the next thing. I am exceptionally gifted in this area. 😂
Thank you for showing up. For cheering, sharing, shopping, watching, and encouraging. For making this feel like a table with people around it. That’s what I hoped for. 🧡
And the food? It was delicious!
👀 The recipes from our launch will be posted Wednesday, so be on the lookout! You’ll be able to bring a little of our first Have Fork, Will Travel adventure to your own table.
AND…a small confession.
I forgot to serve the lentils when I built the platter. THE LENTILS. 😂😂😂
Cooked them. Had them ready. Never put them on the platter.
Bless my heart. We launched a website and left the lentils behind. There’s only so much a woman can keep track of. 😂😂😂

Now my mind keeps wandering toward our next Have Fork, Will Travel…
Our first stop brought Egyptian flavors to Marcia’s kitchen at the ranch, and I’m excited to see whose kitchen—and whose story—we get to share next.
A family recipe. A dish you grew up eating. Something your grandmother made without measuring a single thing, because apparently “until it looks right” was the original recipe card. 😂
Maybe I come cook with you. Maybe you come to the Compass. We’ll share the food, the stories, and probably ask somebody to explain exactly how much “a little” is.
🍴 So tell me—what would you love to see next?
Do you have a recipe to share? A culture or cuisine you’d love us to explore? Someone whose cooking deserves a seat at this table? Leave your ideas and requests below—or send me a message if you’d like to cook together.
I’ll bring my fork. Somebody else can be in charge of remembering all the dishes. 😂
Today, though, I’m giving myself permission to breathe. To enjoy this beginning before filling every inch of it with what comes next.
🧭 Compass Bearing
There is room to be grateful for where we are and hopeful about where God will lead us.
📖 Compass Verse
“This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” —Psalm 118:24, NASB
🙏 Compass Prayer
Lord, thank You for this beginning and for the people who helped carry it here. Help me slow down enough to enjoy it, listen well as we grow, and care for the people You bring to this table. Amen.
Notice More. Love Well. Gather Often.
